About the Site

Kouzan Gibb Photography is the small freelance business of Sarah Chilby, with Equestrian simply being an extension of the site so as to allow a stronger focus on photography from equestrian events.

About Sarah

Currently living on a property in the Riverina, NSW Australia, I became interested in photography in about 2007. Since then, I have begun studying photography in whatever spare time I have, and have purchased both a FujiFilm Prosumer, and most recently my Nikon D90. I've always been interested in horses, though I haven't participated in events - or ridden much, in all honesty.

At the start of 2009, I met Noni Seagrim, who eventually convinced me to attend The Rock Endurance Ride this year, to do some photography. I found after that weekend that I was in love with the atmosphere of endurance rides, the easy going nature of the riders and family and friends, and the overall experience. I had already begun to set up Kouzan Gibb Photography, so introducing equine photography into my list of photography areas I covered seemed the simplest thing to do.

I'm still new to the professional photography world, and I'm mostly learning by trial and era. I hope to complete a cert. 4 of photoimaging and diploma of photography at TAFE sometime in the next two years, to give me better qualifications and knowledge in photography and the professional business.
